Description
 

The PL-80930 is 1U Rackmount high-performance networking system based on the Intel® Haswell-EP platform that is in the Xeon E5-2600 V3 family; and It features the Intel® C612 series chipset (code-named Wellsburg). This new generation Intel® based platform provides high CPU power with maximum computing cores of up to 18. The unit supports 45MB cache and a total of 40 PCIe lanes to support LAN expansion modules or additional encryption/decryption cards. As an IIoT Gateway it provides the performance and expansion for on-site decision making in large and complex operations. 

The PL-80930 provides high computing performance and system responsiveness with Intel® E5-2600 V3 processor. It supports eight DDR4 ECC RDIMM/LRDIMM (up to 2133 MHz) and maximum memory capacity up to 256 GB. With 40 PCIe Express lanes, the PL-80930 is able to support up to 4 NIC modules and has multiple Ethernet module bays for flexible port configuration; such as 40G QSFP+, 10G SFP+, GbE SFP, plus support for GbE Gen. 3 Bypass function. The system is capable of supporting a maximum of 32 GbE ports,

The strong IO elements of PL-80930 include two management Ethernet ports, one for management, another for optional IPMI support ,a console port, two USB ports, a LCD module with 5-button keypad, LEDs for power/HDD/2x GPO. In addition, the PL-80930 supports two 2.5” SATA or one 3.5” & one 2.5” HDDs/SSDs, onboard CompactFlash™ slot and SATA DOM connector for basic network storage application.

The device is versatile enough to serve IT Enterprise, cloud-based call centers, SDN, and communications. It can deliver enhanced packet processing as well as other high-performance network security applications for IT, such as firewall, UTM, and IPS.
