The Problem

The customer required a purpose-built motherboard that provided sufficient compute power to meet the needs of surveillance and other security applications, but with the small form factor of a mobile platform. Customer desired the use of long-life embedded components to maximize their product development and certifications costs.

WIN helped design a purpose-built motherboard that provided high value & performance, as well as energy efficiency. WIN delivered state-of-the-art motherboards to support the Company’s specialized machines without sacrificing the computing power of conventional computers, but with the small form factor demanded by mobile applications. WIN design with embedded components from the major micrprocessor manufacturers to ensure long solution life.

WIN is able to deliver complete systems. In this case, however, plastic injection molding and final assembly are executed at the customer’s headquarters. This approach enables the customer to leverage WIN’s board-level design and manufacturing skills, as well as its own core competencies and investment in plant and equipment.
