WIN Enterprises Announces 1U Rackmount Platform with Cavium^® CN61XX/CN60XX Processors

NORTH ANDOVER, MA, February 12, 2015:  WIN Enterprises, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of embedded controllers and platforms for OEMs, announces the PL-80730, a 1U rackmount network platform designed for Internet security and other networking applications. The device is suitable for securing network domains in the enterprise or data center. The unit is designed with the Cavium® CN61XX/CN60XX family processors to provide a powerful, but economical platform for UTM/VPN/Firewall, packet processing, and deep packet inspection in servers, switches, and routers. In addition, these Cavium family lines feature Authentik™ anti-counterfeiting technologies.

The device supports a DDR3 SO-DIMM memory socket, nine GbE ports with bypass function based on Marvell® 88E1240/1310, and LED indicators to monitor activity and transfer rate.

The back panel has one console port for local system management, maintenance and diagnostics. PL-80730 supports onboard eMMc or NOR flash for boot device support and has space for an optional 2.5" or 3.5” SATA HDD, and has two mini-PCIe slots for incremental wired or wireless Ethernet modules. PL-80730 is FCC, CE, and RoHS compliant. WIN Enterprises will work with OEM customers to modify the platform to more specific specifications when it's ordered in OEM quantities.
