NORTH ANDOVER, MA, April 9, 2013: WIN Enterprises, Inc., a leading manufacturer of embedded controllers and platforms for OEMs, announces the PL-80150, a 2U rackmount networking platform that features dual Intel® Sandy Bridge-EP/Ivy Bridge-EP Xeon® E5-2600 Series processors, and scalable I/O capacity to 64 GbE LAN ports. OEMs can select between Intel® Xeon processors with two, four, six or eight processing cores with clock speeds to 3.3GHz. PL-80150 will accommodate Xeon E5-2600 Series processors with additional cores as these become available. Redundant power is featured for the support of critical IT applications.

Two Intel® QuickPath Interconnects running up to 8.0GT/s speeds combine with Intel® Xeon® E5-2600 series processors (Socket R) in their respective sockets to reduce cross-socket memory I/O latencies and increase throughput. The two processors feature 20MB of cache and support the latest PCIe 3.0 interface to provide a total of 80 PCIe lanes with up to 8Gbps per lane. Each CPU socket supports 4 DDR3 channels with speeds up to 1600/1866 MHz and maximum capacity up to128 GB of ECC memory when using the latest LR DIMM technology.

The Intel® C604 chipset supports standard platform I/O and high-speed mass storage with support for one 3.5” SATA hard disk or solid state drives. The PL-80150 accommodates different types of LAN expansion modules such as 10Gigabit SFP+, Gigabit copper with by-pass function and Gigabit fiber ports to provide a maximum of 64 ports
